Our threat level is already too high as our stress levels are peaking. It seems as though we are without a hidey hole in which to take cover, and yet the fall-back of trepidation is not allowed. We must carry forward into the fray; acknowledging fear but pushing it aside. We have no choice but to face our fear.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were cast into Nebuchadnezzar's furnace, only to be led out of the flames unscathed by the hand of God at work through an angel. The three faced their fear with faith and were delivered. Despite the threats, the stress, and the danger, we must likewise face our fear with faith. We must carry our backpacks into the night along this old path under a billion-star sky. Our packs are heavy with secrets that none other than the Lord can see, but we have no choice but to face our fear and go forward, trusting Him.
What is the worst that can happen? If we were to be killed out here, would we not go home to paradise? Knowing this, we must face our fear on this journey; no matter how abominable a beast our fear may be...(read more here)
